Description
===============

This texture pack contains QTP3 textures that are half the size of the originals to
reduce video memory usage (which manifests itself as stuttering and poor performance
in Oblivion) on systems that can not handle the full QTP3. I attempted to keep the
essence of QTP3 as much as possible by leaving most QTP3 normal maps untouched to
keep the detailed 3D look of Qarl's textures. This is most apparent in the Lite version.
By halving some of the textures, some close-in detail is lost compared to the full QTP3.
The end result looks considerably better than setting all of Oblivion's textures on
medium detail (a band-aid solution for QTP3) since only certain QTP3 textures have
been reduced.

The Lite version is intended for video cards that have at least 256 MB memory. It
includes 1091 reduced texture files, the majority being color maps and a handful of
normal maps. Memory savings vary from about 50 MB to 130 MB depending on the scene
compared to QTP3.

The Regular version requires the Lite version. It includes an additional 244 reduced
textures, most being normal maps used in the various towns in Cyrodiil (except the
Imperial City). It saves an additional 20 to 50 MB around towns over the Lite version.

The Max version requires the Lite and the Regular version. It reduces even more
color textures and normal textures. It saves a considerable amount of video memory,
up to 250 MB over QTP3.

3. Misc

==================

Mix and match the textures as much as you want. If you believe some textures should be
included or removed from the pack or if you find any bugs, let me know. I can be
reached on the Canadian Ice and BGSF forums.

4. Thanks to...

==================

Qarl - His texture packs have been incredible.
Dev_akm and Bomret - For the texturing help and hints.
Wiseman - Without his script to start off with, this would have taken much, much longer to do.
Everyone that helped out in the WIP thread.
