This resource is designed for modder\'s who have a basic understanding of NifScope and retexturing, but are not yet ready to tackle a 3D program like Blender. It consists of five primitives. Each is a basic shape that has been texture mapped in a specific, straightforward way. By scaling these in NifScope and retexturing, almost any architectura

The House Modder's Tool Kit (HMTK) provides a way to create new content for Oblivion without having to master a 3D modeling program like Blender. It is not for everybody. Besides a basic understanding of NifScope and retexturing, to get full benefit from the HMTK will require substantial effort on your part, although considerably less than learning a program like Blender or 3ds Max. The included screen shots give you some idea of the kind of things you can create with the kit.
There is a main file: HTMK11.zip that contains the primitives, several examples, the associated textures, and the documentation in MS Word format. There is a second file: HMTK11htm.zip that contains the documentation readable with your web browser. IF YOU CAN READ A MS WORD DOCUMENT, YOU DO NOT NEED THIS SECOND FILE.
Just extract all into your Oblivion folder. The Readme file gives details as to what files will be loaded and where.
Items created with the HMTK can be used without restriction in any mod. If is only necessary to acknowledge HMTK in the credits. Something like "Created in part with Vince Bly's House Modder's Tool Kit".
Good Luck. And if you make something with the HMTK that you are really proud of, your are welcome to add a screen shot here.
