Description
===========
Adds a basement to every buyable house in the game with portals to access the basement. Uses items and objects from CObl to create probably the best basement mod ever.

Details
=======
This mod has the following features:

-A massive garden with every plant in Oblivion for the budding alchemist (perhaps too large). Includes custom built plants.
-A servant to take care of the basement and garden.
-Alchemist's corner with a cupboard that sorts all you vanilla Oblivion ingredients. If you have OBSE installed, ALL ingredients from other mods plus scrolls and potions are also sorted. This makes it different from other ingredient sorters you may have seen.
-COBl's Static Alchemy sets.
-Bone and gem ginder.
-COBl's luggage set is also present in the basement.
-Enchanting and spell making alter which appears only when you are a Mages Guild member.
-Lots of storage space.
- NEW: A secret method of obtaining an alchemy set based on your skill in Alchemy. New alchemy sets can be obtained when you level up Alchemy to the next skill level.

This basement is accessed by using the portal found in any of the buyable houses in Oblivion or the well in the Imperial City Market District.

Install
=======
This archive is distributed in what LHammonds calls OMOD-Ready format.
It allows you to manually extract and install like most other mods but it also
allows you to use Oblivion Mod Manager and import this archive with all the
settings pre-configured for an OMOD file.
Pick which method you are going to use for installation:

Manual Installation
- = or = -
OBMM Installation

Manual Install
--------------
1. Extract this archive to any folder and then copy the contents to Oblivion's Data
folder. You can ignore or delete the "omod conversion data" folder.
2. Start Oblivion Launcher, click Data Files, and enable the .esp file(s).

OBMM Install
------------
Create the OMOD (Do this section only once)

1. Start Oblivion Mod Manager.
2. Click the Create button.
3. Click the Add Archive button, find and select the archive you downloaded, then click Yes.
4. Click the Create omod button, then click OK when it finishes.

Install the mod using OBMM
1. Start Oblivion Mod Manager.
2. Double-click "Basement for COBl" in the right-hand side of the OBMM screen.
(icon should turn blue)

Manual Update
----------------
1. Replace the old "Basement for COBl.esp" file with the new one you downloaded. No need to clean save or anything. You may also want to update the old readme.

OBMM Update
--------------
1. Start Oblivion Mod Manager.
2. Deactivate "Basement for COBl" (follow instructions for OBMM uninstall).
3. Right-click "Basement for CObl" in the right-hand side of the OBMM screen, click Edit.
4. Delete "Basement for COBl.esp" from plugin list. Click Add Archive.
5. Browse to location of new archive and select it. Click Yes for all prompts.
6. Click Create OMOD button, then OK when creation finishes.
7. Delete old version of this mod from right-hand plane. Follow 2nd part of OBMM install instructions.

NOTE: Due to the changes made to the basement, if you have already visited the basement's garden, you will need to cleansave before using version 1,4. To cleansave:
1. Remove all items of value from the basement. You can do this before or after the updated esp is installed. Leave the basement then save + exit your game.
2. Uncheck "Basement for COBl.esp" in your OBMM or Data files mod list. Load your game again while ignoring the message about missing data files.
3. Once the game has loaded, save and exit the game. Check "Basement for COBl.esp" in your mod list and you're done.

Failure to follow the above instructions will result in bugs (most noticable one I had was a rock moving but the plants hanging from it didn't move). If you have not visited the garden yet, the cleansave instructions probably don't apply to you. I would still recommend a clean save though.

Incompatibility
===============

This mod will work with all other mods to my knowlege, even other basement mods. It doesn't matter where in the load order it is placed, but all the Basement for COBl extra plugins must load after "Basement for CObl.esp".

Known Issues or Bugs
====================
-I don't know if the plants will regrow. This seems to be a problem with all basement mods, but they have their plants indoors. (still unconfirmed, only did first harvest a few days ago).

Version History
===============

1.0, 2008/11/28 - Initial release.
1.1, 2008/12/04 - Added a new entrance into the basement from the Imperial City Market District, made the exit door fatal error dialog box more helpful (hopefully, you will never see it), grounded a few plants, fixed a few visual and clipping problems and fixed a few errors in this readme.

1.2, 2008/12/26 - Added COBl's static Alchemy set, changed position of a few portals (IC shack's in particular was in same space as luggage), fixed bug with IC Market well door and improved this readme.

1.3, 2009/01/01 - Added a secret item that gives you a free alchemy set somewhere in Cyrodill. You have to find it before you can use it and I am not revealing the location of this item or even what the item looks like.

1.4, 2009/01/13 - The following changes have been made:
-Fixed a bug with the "alchemy granter" added in 1.3 (thanks to rlcernick for pointing out the bug's existence),

-The servant is now more useful. He/She repairs and recharges your items (at cheap prices too),

-A previously unused door in the Servants quarters can now be used to leave the basement,
-Another unused door is now a portal room which takes you to any owned house. Find instructions in Servants quarters for more info,
-The Jumbo potato plant was added, the third custom plant added. Can't be used in the quest the potatoes come from,

-More tree-related ingredients added to tree produce barrel,

-Servant now experiments with alchemy to create two ingredients plus randomly creates a potion or two,

-Sheep fold now added and the servant harvests mutton and places it in a new barrel (the Sheep Wool plugin adds sheep wool as well).
-Various other small tweaks to the basement.

Future ideas for this Mod
=========================
I am not planning to develop this mod any further than it is currently, though I am always willing to consider good ideas and suggestions for this mod. I am planning on making plugins to add portals to other popular mod houses (currently thinking of Shivering Isle and Kvatch Aftermath. I just need to get hold of those mods).
