== VERSION 1.1 ==

The mod should now work with every weapon and staff in the game, correctly reducing the cost to use their enchantments to zero. This will allow you to use them... forever and always, without having to stop to recharge or bother with messy soul traps!

Keep in mind that this works for all weapons and staves in the whole game, including for NPCs who may be hostile to you. Using this mod will make certain Daedra much more difficult to defeat.

Unfortunately, as yet this version does not work with weapons created from the use of Sigil Stones. To accomodate users who do employ Sigil Stones, I have drastically decreased the price of recharging artifacts. I do not know if it will ever be possible to include Sigil Stone-created weaponry in this patch, as presently it seems like they directly apply their magical effects to their items. That means that, if I were to reduce them to zero, casting the spell itself would also cost zero magicka, which is an undesirable side effect... I'll keep looking at it, though.

== INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS ==

Extract the included .esp file into your Oblivion/data folder, and at the Oblivion launcher, make sure to click the checkbox next to Enchantment Reduction.esp. Then go ahead and play.

== Previous Version Readme ==

This file drops the cost of all weapon enchantments in the game to zero. I was constantly frustrated with going back to town to recharge my weapons, many of which would not last a single fight. I would have wanted to implement a recharge mechanic, but I don't know how that would work, and there are apparently no scripts that check when a weapon spends a charge that I could use.

So unfortunately, the only method I found to rectify this problem was cause all weapon enchantments to take use no charges.

This is the first release of this mod. I've tested it briefly but I have no idea if it works with every weapon in the game (though I fixed all I could find).
