PORTABLE CAMPSITE
Version 2.3
Edited by Dark Monk

DESCRIPTION
-----------
This mod is a compilation and enhancement of several camping mods and is perfect for hunters and those who want to sleep in the great outdoors of Cyrodiil. It includes a bedroll, campfire, tent, stool and sack. It contains bugfixes and tweaks of the original mods as well as new features. The aim is towards realism so the items are basic and there are no magically summoned houses filled with artwork and chests.

CREDITS
-------
Big thanks to Aridale for the original tent, campfire, bedroll and stool mods, Daeger for his updated bedroll mesh, SJ_Bee for his backpack mod and Ceano for his equipment icons.

INSTALLATION
------------
BEFORE UPGRADING OR REMOVING THIS MOD, ALWAYS DROP THE PORTABLE SACK FROM YOUR INVENTORY AND EMPTY THE SACK'S CONTENTS TO AVOID LOSING YOUR PRECIOUS LOOT!

If you are using Aridale's original Portable Bedroll, Fire & Tent or Stool mods, disable them and use this mod instead. If you are using sj_bee's Backpack mod, you can keep using it if you want. There should be no conflicts.

This mod contains two esp files: Portable Campsite.esp and Portable Campsite - Quickstart.esp.

USE ONLY ONE!

Choose the quickstart version if you want the items to be automatically added to your inventory. In the normal version, you will have to first purchase your items from Sergius Verus at Three Brothers Trade Goods in the Imperial City.

Copy the meshes and textures folders and your chosen version of the Portable Campsite esp file to your Oblivion\Data folder and enable mod under "Data Files" in the Oblivion start screen.

HOW IT WORKS (adapted from the original readme files)
-----------------------------------------------------
Since you can't enable havok physics on any object you want to make use of the physics engine to aid in moving objects around and placing them how you want you have to use an object that already has physics enabled. Since furniture is static and you cant move it around to be able to put a bedroll/campfire/tent/stool/sack anywhere you want and have the flexiblity of the physics engine to do so you have to use something else. The placer objects take the form of a bedroll, plates for the stool and campfire and a rake for the tent.

Bedroll: Drop the Portable Bedroll on the ground and position it how you want it. It's best to always place the bedroll top up. The way the rolled up bedroll lies is the way the bedroll should lay. Activate it and it puts the bedroll there. You sneak and activate the bedroll to pick it up. Activate the bedroll normally to bring up the Rest Menu. When you place the bedroll on the ground, a marker is added to the map which you can fast travel to. The marker is only added if the location is outdoors and not in a city.

Tent: Drop it from your inventory. The tent is represented by a rake. The tent will be set up according to the rake's position. The length of the rake represents the width of the tent. Once you have it positioned in the proper place, activate the rake. To pick it back up, activate it in sneak mode.

Campfire: Drop it from your inventory. It is represented by a plate. Place it and activate it to place the logs. Once the logs are in place, activate it to turn the campfire on and off. To pick it back up you must turn the fire off and then activate it in sneak mode. It won't let you pick it up if the fire is still going. [If you ever get in a situation where the fire can't be put out, stand in the fire until it goes out (about 7 seconds). (Watch your health, you will experience fire damage while standing in the fire.)]

Stool: Drop it from your inventory. The stool is represented by a plate on the ground. Activate it and it puts the stool there. The direction you face when you activate the plate placer is the direction you will face when you sit down. You sneak and activate the stool to pick it up. Activate the stool normally to sit on it like any other stool. Simple as that.

Sack: The sack is basically a portable container. To use, drop the Portable Sack from your inventory. Activate it to add or remove stuff. Activate in sneak mode to pick it up. The weight of the sack is the total weight of its contents. You can also open the sack while it's in your inventory by equipping it.

If you lose any of the equipment, you can buy it again from the store when they restock. It is recommended that you use only one set of this equipment at a time. Using multiple campfires, bedrolls or sacks at the same time is currently unsupported.

In emergency situations, if you need to replace your camping equipment immediately, open the console and type "StartQuest AddCampsite" and it will be added to your inventory.

CHANGELOG
---------
Version 2.3
Fixed calculations when you put the sack inside another container.
Added new icons for stool, campfire and tent from Ceano.
Adjusted the custom sleep method when sleeping outside to look better.

Version 2.22
Identified rare situation where the fire remains even after the campfire logs are put away. To put out any "orphan fires", stand in the fire until it goes out (about 7 seconds). (Watch your health, you will experience fire damage while standing in the fire.)
Clarified in readme that you buy the equipment from Sergius Verius in Three Brothers Trade Goods.

Version 2.21
Tweaked stool placement direction to be more accurate. The direction you face when you place the stool is the direction the stool will be when you sit on it.
Tweaked sitting animation.

Version 2.2
No more "You can't sleep when enemies are nearby" message! You can sleep on the Portable Bedroll as long as you aren't in combat. The default sleep menu is still available for those who prefer it.

Version 2.1
Sack no longer directly modifies player encumbrance. The actual weight of the bag is added to the inventory. This ensures compatiblity with the More Realistic Encumberment mod and other mods that modify the encumbrance value.
The campsite equipment for sale at the shop now respawns.

Version 2.01
Changed the weight variables from short to float.
You can no longer put the sack inside itself.
Tweaked the sack weight messages.
Fixes condition where player opens sack in inventory, then presses Tab to directly exit the menus without going back through the inventory screen.

Version 2.0
New feature: When you add the bedroll, a marker is added to the map which you can fast travel to. The marker is only added if location is outdoors and not in a city.

Changes from the original mods:
- Reduced the weight and adjusted prices of all camping equipment.

Aridale's Portable Bedroll mod:
- Bedroll renamed "Portable Bedroll" to match the overall naming scheme.

Aridale's Portable Fire and Tent mod:
- no need to enter a console command to enable the items.
- Increased the campfire light radius.
- Campfire should now be an actual light source and shine on the surrounding environment and objects. Before, it was unreliable and often required leaving and returning to the cell before it would work properly.
- Fixed campfire script. The original caused slowdowns and affected the running speed of other mods.
- Made tent larger. Now, you can actually walk inside it.
- Switched so sneaking puts away the campfire instead of lighting it to match the behavior of the other mods.

Aridale's Portable Stool mod:
- Gave the stool a value.
- Removed stool from Shetcombe farm.
- Reduced stool placer size.
- Fixed bug where if you were sitting on the stool and activated it in stealth mode, a duplicate stool would be added to your inventory.

sj_bee's Backpack mod:
- Flour sack mesh used instead as the original backpack mesh didn't work properly for low resolution users.
- Item removed from skeleton.
- Sack container is now a persistent reference, player owned.
- Reduced value, renamed portable sack to match overall naming scheme.
- Removed some debug weight messages.
- Made the sack accessible from the inventory menu. Just equip it to open the sack.

FUTURE DEVELOPMENT
------------------
Please PM me (Dark Monk) on the official Elder Scrolls forums if you can design some better placer objects for the tent, stool, campfire and sack. The meshes and textures must work in all resolutions, from low to high.
